Baloch protesters freed after talks with committee

The government Thursday released 34 more Baloch protesters who were arrested during a demonstration in Islamabad, following negotiations with a committee appointed by Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The committee, comprising Fawad Hasan Fawad, Murtaza Solangi and Jamal Shah, met with the protesters and their representatives, along with Governor Balochistan, to address their grievances.

The protesters had demanded the immediate release of all the arrested persons, including women and children, who were freed on the first day of the talks.

The committee assured the protesters that their other demands would also be considered and resolved in a peaceful manner.
