A dacoits gang in Shikarpur has abducted a polio officer and demanded the police to set free their comrades if they want want the polio officer back, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

The dacoits posted a video on social media of anti-polio worker Naeem Ahmed Bapar who was abducted from Katcha area of Shikarpur’s Naparkot police station’s limits.

According to victim’s family, the abductors belonged to Nasirani tribe. The gang in the video demanded of Shikarpur police to first release their men and women if they want safe return of the anti-polio worker.

The family of the abducted worker has staged a protest demonstration for the early recovery of the victim.

Police, however, seemed helpless in the region as activities of dacoits were increasing day by day.

Meanwhile, another dacoits gang in Katcha area of Ghotki, near Sukkur abducted two youth after an online trap offering cars at cheap rates.

The youth were reported to be the residents of Murree area.

Dacoits, after sharing the videos of victims held in chains, were demanding Rs20 million in ransom from their families.

The father of the victims registered an FIR against unknown dacoits in Sukkur police station.
