LPG price raised for third time in 48 hours

The Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) price has been raised for the third time during the last 48 hours, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The LPG mafia raised the price by Rs10 for the third time and it is now being sold at Rs250 per kilogram throughout Punjab including Lahore.
The price of domestic cylinder was now swelled by Rs120 and of commercial cylinder by Rs455.
The domestic cylinder is now available for Rs2,950 and commercial cylinder for Rs11,350.
On Thursday, the LPG price was hiked again by Rs10 per kg without the notification of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra). This was the second raise and the first rate hike of Rs10 was announced on Wednesday.
After the increase of Rs10, the price of LPG went up to Rs240 per kg across Punjab including Lahore.
Moreover, the price of domestic LPG cylinder has been increased by Rs120 and that of commercial LPG cylinder by Rs455.
Now, the domestic LPG cylinders will be sold at Rs2,835 and commercial LPG cylinders at Rs10,900.
LPG Distributors Association Chairman Irfan Khokhar said that due to the closure of JJVL plant, the government was losing Rs60 billion annually and the black marketing had also reached its peak.
It is to be noted here that the LPG price has witnessed a Rs10 increase thrice within 48 hours.
