29 terrorists killed in border operations, strikes: Info Minister
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar Sunday said security forces killed 29 terrorists in an intelligence-based operation and precision strikes along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border after recent terrorist attacks in the country.
In a post on X, Tarar said the action was carried out after multiple terrorist incidents targeting people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan and a Pakistan Rangers Sindh camp in Karachi.
He said security forces conducted an intelligence-based ground operation on June 28 against a group of terrorists near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to Tarar, high-value commander Khan Farosh, also known as Zabal, and three other terrorists linked to Jamaat-ul-Ahrar were killed in the operation, while several others were injured.
The minister said that under Operation Ghazb Lil Haq, precise strikes were also carried out on the night of June 28 and 29 against terrorist camps and hideouts in the border region.

He said three targets in Paktia, Paktika and Kunar were destroyed during the strikes, killing 25 terrorists.
Tarar said large quantities of weapons and ammunition stored at the sites were also destroyed.
The minister said Pakistan had always sought peace and stability in the region but would not compromise on the safety and security of its citizens.
He said the counterterrorism campaign under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, would continue.
Tarar said security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue operations to eliminate foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
