Govt spends Rs188 million on science labs upgrade project at 30 federal schools

The government has completed the science laboratories upgrade project across federal educational institutions aimed at enhancing practical science education.

According to details, the renovation and modernisation project was completed at a total cost of Rs188 million. Scientific equipment and digital learning tools were purchased at a total cost of Rs100 million.

A total of 30 science laboratories are functional at 22 federal educational institutions.

The upgraded facilities include 15 combined science laboratories, six physics laboratories, five chemistry laboratories and four biology laboratories.

To ensure equal opportunities, 15 laboratories have been set up at boys schools and 15 at girls schools,.
