The PTI government has become active to shore up support for its recently nominated candidate for Punjab chief ministership - Ch Pervaiz Elahi as it has contacted the Jehangir Khan Tareen group seeking its support, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

As per details, federal Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak contacted the JKT group’s member Aun Chaudhry and sought group’s support for the PTI nominee for the slot of Punjab chief minister, Pervaiz Elahi.

While talking to Aun, the defence minister said that the party had accepted the JKT group’s demand to change the chief minister of Punjab. “We have done this, now you should reciprocate and support Ch Pervaiz,” he added. 

Sources said Aun Chaudhry on his part assured Khattak that he would convey his message to JKT Head Jehangir Tareen.
