Captain (r) Mohammad Khurram Agha has been appointed federal interior secretary, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Agha was earlier serving as Secretary Commerce Division in Islamabad.
Agha is an officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS). He has served as Chief Secretary, of the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan; Additional Secretary, the Ministry of Climate Change; Secretary to the Chief Minister, of Punjab; Minister (Trade), of the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington DC; PSO to the Prime Minister of Pakistan; Secretary, HUD&PHE Department, Government of Punjab; Commissioner Multan Division, Multan; Secretary, Implementation & Coordination Wing of S&GA Department, Government of Punjab; District Coordination Officer, Multan; District Coordination Officer, Vehari; Managing Director, Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority, Punjab; Additional Secretary, Home Department, Government of Punjab; Additional Secretary S&GA Department; Director, Lahore Development Authority, Punjab; Additional Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi & Jehlum and several other field assignments.
Rizvi, a grade 20 officer of the Police Service will replace IG Police Islamabad, Dr Akbar Nasir Khan.
A formal notification regarding the transfer of IG Islamabad, Dr Khan was issued. He was directed to report to the Establishment Division.
Ali Nasir Rizvi previously served in key positions in Punjab like SP Operations, DPO Kasur, and DIG Operations Lahore.
