Former Punjab Chief Secretary Javed Mahmood passes away

Former Punjab Chief Secretary, Javed Mahmood passed away after a prolonged illness on Sunday at Jinnah Hospital, Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Javed Mahmood had been battling illness for an extended period before his demise, ultimately succumbing to a cardiac arrest earlier today.

Hailing from the 7th Common of the Pakistan Administrative Services, Mahmood held several pivotal positions, including Chief Secretary Ombudsman, Director General of Lahore Development Authority (LDA), Deputy Commissioner of Lahore, and Federal Secretary.

Notably, Javed Mahmood was the uncle of federal minister Ahad Khan Cheema.

 His funeral prayer will be held at Roshan Farm in Roshan Bheela village, Kasur tomorrow (Monday) at 10.30 am.
