PM Shehbaz assures ample fuel supply for April

The Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, said that due to government decisions, there is an adequate supply of petroleum products to meet the country's needs, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
A review meeting was held under the chairmanship of PM Shehbaz Sharif on the implementation of ongoing measures for fuel conservation and thrift in view of the situation in the region. 
The meeting was informed about the progress of implementation of thrift and saving measures.
The meeting was informed that the supply and demand of petroleum products and the entire supply chain are being monitored regularly, and a digital dashboard has also been prepared in this regard. 
The meeting was further informed that arrangements have been made for the import of petrol for April. 
A briefing was also given on the app developed for the proposed fuel support programme for motorcyclists and rickshaw pullers.

To prevent oil prices from rising, the federal government has made a huge amount of Rs 125 billion in various savings and development budget cuts so that the public is protected from the direct effects of global tensions, the prime minister said.
The public is requested to support the government in the savings campaign and avoid unnecessary travel, and teleconferencing should be preferred in offices and workplaces, meeting participants proposed.
The PM said provincial governments should provide all facilities to motorcycle and rickshaw owners to get their vehicles registered in their own names.
He said this move will digitise the data of motorcycles and rickshaws across the country, and their owners will get an opportunity to benefit from the relief provided by the government in the future.
The Prime Minister instructed the concerned authorities to intensify communication with the Chief Secretaries of the four provinces, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
