Pakistan’s top actor Fawad Khan seems to be under the watch of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). The tax collection authority has launched a probe into the income generated from Khan's five-year travel record.
According to details, FBR has written a letter to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for the details of the actor’s five-year travel record.
Fawad Khan had shown his foreign income as one crore and 17 lac dollars in 2019. FBR has also started an audit of the actor’s income for the year 2017 while information regarding his other assets are also being gathered.
Earlier, FBR requested the aid of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in order to assess Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's money trail.
In a letter sent to FIA by the FBR, the former has been asked to provide Rahat's travel history for the last six years. As per the letter, details of the singer’s foreign trips from July 1, 2014, to date have been requested.
Meanwhile, Rahat's representatives have claimed that so far, the FBR hasn't reached out to the singer. "We haven't received any notice from FBR as of yet. We are currently looking into the matter," Rahat's manager Muhammad Amir said to the media.
