Supreme Court judge Justice Faiz Issa has given his written explanation over the issue of arrest and release of PTI MNA Akram Cheema, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.

The top court judge stated that he did not order anyone’s arrest. he added he just informed police about a ‘suspicious’ vehicle he spotted while walking to the Supreme Court.

He said the person sitting inside the car used harsh words when asked for showing identity. The CCTV footage will make everything clear, provided the footage is original and unedited, he said adding that he was unaware of the person sitting inside the vehicle at that time.

Faiz Issa said Fawad Chaudhry held a press conference against him without any investigation. The SC judge said the ministers have been concocting plots against him and his family after one of his decisions against them.

He said a reference was filed against him to get him removed and he was facing death threats but no arrest was made. Akram Cheema should explain as to why the vehicle had a fake number plate and an antenna, he said, adding he should show his driving licence too.
