PML-N to oppose govt motion for election amendment bill: Kh Asif

The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Wednesday announced opposing the government’s motion for the election amendment bill in the National Assembly (NA).
According to the 24News HD TV Channel, PML-N representative in the NA Khawaja Asif opposed the government move to include the said bill in the session agenda.
Addressing in the House, Khawaja Asif said that it was decided with the opposition from the government to form a parliamentary committee on electoral reforms.
But, now the government betrayed, he said adding that the decision of placing the bill in the session agenda was an attempt to rig the next election in advance.
He said his party’s previous government had also made election reforms in the house after forming a joint parliamentary committee of the opposition and the treasury benches.
The PML-N leader said that his party would oppose the election amendment bill if the government would bulldoze the parliament.
