Resolution against transgender bill filed in KP assembly

The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam member Naima Kishwar Thursday submitted a resolution in the KP assembly to scrap the transgender bill, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the sources, the resolution stated that the Transgender Bill was passed without consulting the Council of Islamic Ideology in 2018 and at that time, elections were up ahead and the number of members in the Assembly used to be very less relatively.
According to Article 227 of the Constitution and the Sharia Act 1991, no law against the Islamic Sharia can be implemented in the country and competent scholars along with the Islamic Ideological Council have declared this bill against Islam.
In the resolution, immediate repeal of the Anti-Islam transgender bill was demanded by the mover.
