Imran strips PTI leaders of powers, names Achakzai, Allama Nasir his representatives

Jailed former prime minister Imran Khan has stripped the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership of all decision-making powers, 24NewsHD TV on Monday quoted as saying the sources who claimed to be aware of what happened at the parliamentary party meeting of Khan’s party.

According to the report, critical decisions of Imran Khan, who is the founder of the PTI, have created distrust in his own party. He has withdrawn all decision-making powers from the party leadership and directed his party leaders to make decisions at the parliamentary party and then report to Mahmood Khan Achakzai, chief of the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP).

Sources say that Imran Khan has appointed Achakzai and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas of the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) his political representatives outside the prison. Khan has reportedly directed his party leadership not to hold any political gathering under the aegis of the PTI, but they should hold any political gathering under the banner of the Movement to Protect the Constitution.

Khan directed PTI senior leader Salman Akram Raja to meet Allama Raja Nasir Abbas and Mahmood Khan Achakzai in this regard. Raja will convey the message of the PTI founder Abbas and Achakzai.

Sources said that PTI leader Junaid Akbar once again lashed out at Salman Akram Raja at the parliamentary party meeting. He said that those who go to Adiala Jail to meet Khan portray themselves as loyal workers of party and malign others including him.

Sources said that Akbar made a speech full of complaints as he looked at Salman Akram Raja. Nisar Jatt also gave a strong speech against the party leadership at the parliamentary committee.
