After bringing back-to-back no-confidence motions against Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, the buoyed up joint opposition has submitted no-trust motion against National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The opposition submitted the motion to the assembly secretary on Sunday a little before the voting on its earlier no-confidence resolution against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The opposition which claims to have achieved the magical numbers both in the lower house and Punjab Assembly, is all set to remove the speaker of the National Assembly through its no-trust motion, which carries signatures of more than 100 lawmakers.
Earlier, the opposition parties held an important meeting at Opposition Leader’s Chamber in the Parliament and deliberated on submitting the no-confidence motion against NA Speaker Qaiser.
Ayaz Sadiq, Naveed Qamar, Shahida Akhtar Ali, Khursheed Shah and other opposition leaders attended the meeting.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also posted a copy of the no-trust motion submitted against the NA speaker on his twitter account with one-word caption: SURPRISE.
