The Punjab government has shelved its decision to upgrade the helipad at Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's residence in Model Town of Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

The Punjab government will no longer upgrade the Model Town main Helipad at the Prime Minister's residence.

The Home Department has also withdrawn the letter approving funds for upgradation.

It merits here to mention that the Cabinet Committee had previously approved the upgrade of PM’s helipad and nighttime landing facility.

The Punjab government, however, has reversed this decision.
