The ruling alliance of 13 parties, the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has decided to take legal action against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as the party, its Chairman Imran Khan and associates involved in the foreign funding case after the approval of the federal cabinet.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, PDM head Maulana Fazlur Rehman briefed the media about the decisions taken by the allied parties in the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The sources said that the PDM meeting has decided that the Operation Clean-up is likely to start against central and provincial officials of the PTI in the next few days and various teams will take action simultaneously, through the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and other relevant agencies.
The PDM decided that legal action will be taken against Imran Khan under the 12-point charge sheet of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
The decision in principle to take the legal course for Imran Khan's disqualification has also been taken in the PDM meeting.
The PDM has also decided to put the name of Imran Khan and his associates on the Exit Control List (ECL).
It is also decided that Imran Khan's associates will be arrested and legal action will be taken against them.
These associates include Asad Qaiser, Qasim Suri, Imran Ismail, Shah Farman, former senior minister of Punjab Mian Mehmood-ur-Rashid, PTI MNA Najeeb Haroon, member of Sindh Assembly Samar Ali Khan, former MPA Seema Zia.

Later talking to the media Maulana Fazlur Rehman said the PDM has decided to file a reference against the PTI and its Chairman Imran Khan after the approval of the cabinet.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman demanded the PTI Chairman Imran Khan and President of Pakistan Arif Alvi to tender their resignations immediately as their party has been proved a thief.
He said Imran has received financial support from Israel and India, the USA, Finland, and Canada, adding that these countries are against the integrity of the state of Pakistan and Imran is fulfilling their agenda.
It has been proved that the PTI has received prohibited funding from foreign countries so now the patriots of Pakistan should stand with the state against Imran Khan, he added.
Maulana Fazl said Imran has been proved now a puppet of anti-Pakistan international powers. He said Imran Khan was involved in hiding 16 bank accounts from ECP.
