ECP senior officers asked to work under interns

In a surprising move, the Chief Election Commission of Pakistan (CEP) has issued an order to senior officers to work under interns, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the sources, a number of interns, who have been recently recruited by the CEP without any advertisement on a contractual basis, are given important responsibilities in the field of law.

The ECP also issued an office order for the senior and regular employees to work under interns to keep them afresh regarding the latest development in election affairs.

However, the sources claimed that interns are considered naïve in the practical work. The interns are given the opportunity to work for the purpose of learning in any organization. How they can become bosses of those who have vast knowledge and experience in election affairs, they added.

They alleged that ECP Deputy Director Law's brother has also been assigned important responsibilities as an intern.

There is uncertainty prevailed among employees due to senior regular officers being subordinated to interns, they added.
