Prof Dr Safia Ahmed has been appointed as the vice chancellor of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Medical University, Peshawar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The Higher Education Department has issued a notification for her appointment as the vice chancellor of the university.

According to the notification, Prof Dr Safia Ahmed will be serving as the vice chancellor of the university for the period of three years.

Earlier, she was serving as the dean of Faculty of Biological Sciences at Quaid-e-Azam University.
