KSE-100 gains 666 points, crosses 41,000 mark

Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE-100) index with a gain of 666.12 points on Friday crossed the barrier of 41,000 points and closed at 41,337 points, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

According to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) weekly report, the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE-100) index gained 1.64% and 666.12 points in the last week. 

As many as 352 companies transacted their shares in the stock market; 221 of them recorded gains and 103 sustained losses.

As many as 19.48 crore shares worth Rs 7.68 billion were traded. 

Due to the increase in the price of shares, total market capitalization reached Rs 6277 billion with an increase of Rs 15 billion. 

The stock market is booming despite a 3% increase in the interest rate, experts said
