Dharmendra and Hema Malini relive memorable moments on 44th wedding anniversary

Hema Malini and Dharmendra's timeless love tale has marked 44 years since they tied the knot.

The dream girl took to her social media account to share pictures from the celebrations of their 44th wedding anniversary.

In the snapshots shared, the iconic Sholay actress was dressed in a striking traditional saree and adorned with sindoor, while Dharmendra was clad in a peach-colored shirt. They were elegantly draped in lavish garlands as they posed for the photographs.

Dharmendra was also seen planting a kiss on Hema’s cheek while she blushed.

The couple was joined by their daughter, Esha Deol. Sharing the photos, Hema wrote:

“Photos from today at home.”

 Esha also shared one of the pictures from the intimate celebrations and wrote:

“That’s pretty much what I’m made of.”

Fans are wondering whether Hema Malini and Dharmendra renewed their wedding vows on their 44th anniversary.

The actress is beaming with joy, and so is legendary Dharmendra.

Hema Malini earlier shared a fan made video with a sweet caption. She wrote that she couldn't have asked for anything more as she has Dharmendra, 2 beautiful girls, grandchildren, and a limitless love of fans. She expressed gratitude to Almighty.

It is pertinent to mention here that Hema Malini and Dharmendra's love story was quite a controversial one back in the day as the handsome hunk was already married when he fell in love with the Dream Girl. He had four kids - Sunny Deol, Bobby, Deol, Vijeta Deol and Ajeita Deol.

 As per reports, Hema Malini and Dharmendra had to change religion as the actor's first wife Prakash Kaur did not agree to divorce him. He changed to Islam and then got married to Hema Malini. Since 44 years, they have been together and also setting some strong couple goals for all.

Dharmendra's First Wife Once Said

Hema and Dharmendra first met in 1970 when they were shooting for their film Tum Haseen Main Jawaan. Fans loved their pairing. But when they decided to get married, even Hema’s parents were not in favour. However, life had different plans for the couple and after many difficulties, they got married in 1980. They have two daughters – Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.

Meanwhile, Dharmendra was last seen in Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. He will soon be seen in Sriram Raghavan’s ‘Ikkis’, which will star Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson, Agastya Nanda, in the lead.

On the other hand, Hema Malini is currently busy with the Lok Sabha elections. The actress is contesting from the Mathura constituency on the BJP ticket. Recently, Hema was also joined by her daughters Esha and Ahana for the campaign in Mathura.
