At least five people were killed and 22 others got injured after a bus plunged into a ditch near Sham Kot Tal Plaza on M4 Motorway in Khanewal, reported 24News HD TV channel on Sunday. 

Rescue sources said a passenger bus of a private company fell into a ditch near Sham Kot Tal Plaza on M4 in Khanewal. 
Khanewal rescue and police personnel rushed to the spot. The rescue teams are carrying out the rescue operations of removing the dead bodies and injured by cutting the body of the bus. 
People of the area are also engaged in rescue operations. 
The passenger bus was going from Chakwal to Karachi.
