Senior journalists and political analysts Saturday said Pandora Papers may have lasting implications for Imran Khan-led PTI government and could even lead to its fall.

During 24NewHD TV Channel programme – DNA – Salim Bokhari, Iftikhar Ahmed, PJ Mir and Javed Iqbal commented on the new Pandora Papers against key figures after the Panama Papers and also paid tribute to comedian late Umar Sharif.

Salim Bokhari said Prime Minister Imran never gave importance to Parliament in important national issues like relations with Taliban in Afghanistan, talks with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and granting them a general amnesty.

He said that the PM wanted to carry out important national issues like the appointment of NAB Chairman and Election Commissioner without trusting opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif.

"Whether we have ties to the Taliban government or talks with banned organizations, we cannot ignore the United States. And we cannot say ‘Absolutely Not’ to the USA because of the IMF and the World Bank who have a hand in Pakistan’s economy", he said.

Salim Bokhari said America wanted to make Pakistan a scapegoat by dropping the rubble of its defeat in Afghanistan on us.

He said Nawaz Sharif lost his government after the Panama Papers and the sitting government could face the same music after the new Pandora Papers. He said Nawaz Sharif was punished for carrying out a nuclear blast too.

Paying tribute to Umar Sharif, Salim Bokhari said that after Moin Akhtar, another king of the world of comedy passed away.

Iftikhar Ahmed raised the question that was US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman was saying wrong that Pakistan should take action against all militants and terrorist organizations without any discrimination? He said she said the US wanted a strong partnership with Pakistan against terrorism. He said Pakistan would face a reaction over the issue of holding negotiations with the TTP.

PJ Mir said that the USA was calling Pakistan for “Do more” and also blaming for double-crossing with the superpower.

Javed Iqbal said Pakistan's relations with China and Russia had improved but the US was increasing pressure on CPEC and Pakistan's nuclear program to roll back.

Javed Iqbal said that the way Imran Khan and Pakistan's military leadership saved the region from further destruction and played a role in ending the long Afghan war, they deserved to be awarded Nobel Peace Prize.
