Court grants bail to burqa-clad Saba Qamar, Bilal Saeed

The District and Sessions Court in Lahore on Thursday granted bail to singer Bilal Saeed and actress Saba Qamar in a video song shooting case at Wazir Khan Masjid inside Dehli Gate, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Qasim Ali heard the case against the singer and the actress filed by Akbari Gate Police Station, Walled City Lahore.

Saba Qamar, who was accused of dancing inside the mosque for Bilal Saeed’s song Qabool Hai, appeared before the court wearing a burqa.

Earlier, both Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed were summoned by the session court on September 3 in the case of the alleged desecration of the Wazir Khan mosque.

Akbari Gate police had registered the first information report (FIR) against the duo under Section 295 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) following the court’s direction to act on an application of a lawyer as per the law and decide whether a cognizable offence was made out.
