NAB withdraws LNG reference against Shahid Khaqan Abbasi

Good news for former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi as an accountability court (AC) in Islamabad on Tuesday acquitted him in the LNG reference after the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) told the court it was withdrawing the case against the seasoned politician, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.  

The Accountability Court (AC) judge Nasir Javed Rana heard the case.

Abbasi appeared in the court along with his lawyers.

Speaking on the occasion, NAB Deputy Prosecutor Azhar Maqbool said that the bureau was withdrawing the reference against the former prime minister.
