From ruling television screens for over two decades and giving blockbuster hit films one after another, Humayun Saeed has been one of the leading actor of Pakistan’s entertainment industry. 

The actor recently received the pride of Performance award this 14th August and thanked all his fans for the love and support. 

In an interview with Local publication, Humayun Said:  “Yes, 2020 has proven to be a difficult year for all of us but these two achievements have made it better. I am grateful to Allah for His blessings. I would also like to thank everyone I have worked with from the moment I joined this industry, be it writers, directors, actors and even the public who has appreciated and loved all my work till date.”

He further adds, “I never thought I would get a Pride of Performance. I used to believe that one must do something extraordinarily great to receive it and even then you get it when you turn old.”

“But I have received genuine praise and love from all quarters; everyone who called me, be it my fellow actors wished me wholeheartedly. I believe that I have received it at the right time because earlier I may have received criticism too. I think the success of Meray Paas Tum Ho has contributed a lot to get to this stage,” Humayun added.

Speaking about his achievement, the actor said: “If you look at my career graph, I have done Jawani Phir Nahi Ani (JPNA) which was a blockbuster and then I moved on to Dil Lagi, I proved all the naysayers wrong who said that film actors can’t be television actors or vice versa. Later, I did two back to back hits Punjab Nahi Jaungi and JPNA 2 and then gave Meray Paas Tum Ho. So, I love acting be it for films or television.”
