China announces 100m yuan in aid for Pakistan’s flood-hit people

The Chinese leadership announced donating ¥100 million and 25,000 tents among other relief items for the flood-hit people in Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
In a special message, conveyed to the Pakistani leadership by Chinese Ambassador Non Rong, the Chinese leadership extended good wishes to President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
They also expressed sorrow over the loss of lives and properties due to the floods and showed full solidarity with the Pakistani leadership and people.
While responding to the announcement of aid by the Chinese leadership, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the leadership and people of China had shown friendship and generosity to Pakistan as always.
“I would like to express my sincere thanks to President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Keqiang,” he added.
On the other hand, the Chinese Air Force flights will reach Karachi today and tomorrow with the first consignment of 300 tents.
Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong will hand over the relief items to the Pakistani authorities in Karachi.
The Economic Affairs Division will be informed formally about the provision of aid by China to the flood-hit people.
Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong informed the government of Pakistan about the decision of the Chinese leadership.
