Indian PM Modi saddened over Pakistan flood devastation

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his sorrow over the devastation caused by heavy floods in Pakistan and extended his heart-felt condolences to the families of the victims who lost their near and dear ones in this calamity, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday. 

On his Twitter handle, Indian Prime Minister Modi wrote: “Saddened to see the devastation caused by the floods in Pakistan. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, the injured and all those affected by this natural calamity and hope for an early restoration of normalcy.”

Prince Charles, wife express grief over large-scale destruction in Pakistan 

UK Prince Charles and his wife Camilla have also expressed their grief over the large-scale destruction caused by the recent floods in Pakistan saying their hearts go out to all the victims and their loved ones and to the millions of people who have lost property and their livelihoods. 

The Royal couple has also paid tribute to the Government of Pakistan, the military and emergency services, the countless volunteers and aid agencies who are working tirelessly to save lives and support those in need in a series of their tweets. 

They tweeted: “My wife and I are deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the recent floods in Pakistan. Our hearts go out to all the victims and their loved ones and to the millions of people who have lost property and their livelihoods.

 “Your country is very special to us, with deep and enduring bonds to the United Kingdom.

“We would like to pay a particular tribute to the Government of Pakistan, the military and emergency services, the countless volunteers and aid agencies who are working tirelessly to save lives and support those in need.

“Times like these remind us of the fragility of our planet and the urgent need for humanity to live in harmony with Nature. Our prayers are with all our friends in Pakistan.”
