Emergency declared in all Punjab hospitals

The Punjab government has imposed a state of emergency across all hospitals in the province to ensure immediate medical response during the ongoing flood calamities.

According to official directives, the leave of all hospital staff has been cancelled, and they have been instructed to remain on duty around the clock.

Hospitals have also been ordered to maintain a sufficient stock of emergency medicines, including antidotes for snakebites and other life-saving drugs, to deal with urgent cases effectively.

Medical staff across Punjab have been directed to stay on 24-hour alert to provide timely treatment and manage any potential influx of patients.

Authorities stressed that the measures are aimed at safeguarding public health and ensuring that hospitals are fully prepared to tackle medical emergencies without disruption.
