Rs2.98 increase in petrol price proposed

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recommended to the government raising prices of petroleum products from January 1, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Ogra has recommended to the government to increase the price of petrol by Rs2.96 per litre. It also proposed to raise the price of high-speed diesel by Rs3.12 per litre.
There is a strong possibility that the rate of light speed diesel and kerosene oil will also be raised.
The Ogra has forwarded the summary to the Petroleum Division and the Finance Ministry will make the announcement about new petroleum prices today.
