Islamabad police have asked for 1,000 personnel of Frontier Corps (FC) from the Interior Ministry against the recent wave of terrorism in the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

As per the official sources, there is a lack of law enforcers in Islamabad against the recent wave of terrorism.

The Ministry of Interior is likely to approve the deployment of the FC personnel in Islamabad in view of the current situation.

The FC personnel will assist Islamabad police in various ways.

The FC personnel will also be deployed along with the police in Red Zone.
