Chief Justice Afridi reviews judicial system in Mithi and Tharparkar

Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi Tuesday, reached Mithi, the main city of Tharparkar district, after a daylong visit to Nagar Parkar at the foothills of the Karoonjhar Hills, according to a statement issued by the Supreme Court.

During his stay in Nagar Parkar, the chief justice visited the Karoonjhar Hills and several sites of historical and tourist importance, including the historic Kasbo village, Churrio Temple, and Bhalwa.

Justice Yahya Afridi reviewed the provision of justice and the functioning of the judicial system in the district.

During the visit, the Chief Justice was accompanied by the Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court.

Justice Afridi inspected judicial operations at the Nangarparkar Civil Court Complex, where he reviewed court performance and administrative arrangements.

Emphasizing the importance of judicial dignity, the Chief Justice stressed the need to enhance public facilitation within court premises to ensure accessible and effective justice for citizens.

He appreciated the establishment of key facilities, including the Women's Facilitation Centre, the availability of clean drinking water, solar-powered infrastructure, and the e-library, terming them vital for a modern and people-friendly judicial environment.

Justice Yahya Afridi also held meetings with representatives of various bar associations.

Later, he inaugurated an e-library at the Tharparkar Bar.

As part of his visit, the Chief Justice visited the historic Kasbo Temple and the Churio Jabal Durga Mata Temple.

On the occasion, he reaffirmed the judiciary’s unwavering commitment to religious freedom and the protection of minority rights in Pakistan.

Later, the Chief Justice inspected judicial affairs at the Mithi District Court Complex, where he reviewed ongoing legal processes and court facilities.

Justice Afridi arrived in Mithi after spending the night in Nagar Parkar.

Upon arrival, he visited the District and Sessions Court in Mithi and held meetings with judges.
