ABD okays 15m for 7 Punjab cities

The Asian Development Bank (ABD) has approved a loan of $15 million for development of seven Punjab cities.
The loan approved as part of ABD’s Smart Cities Project will be spent on development and planning in seven targeted Punjab cities including Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Rawalpindi and Sargodha.
The loan will be spent on development in a manner to transform these cities into smart cities, keeping in view demands and needs of the future.
The ADB has already been working with both the federal as well as provincial governments to improve living standards, especially sewage, potable water supply and means of communication.
