Amir Khan pays respects at shrine of Data Ganj Bakhsh

The British-Pakistani boxer Amir Khan on Friday paid a visit to the shrine of Syed Ali Hajveri (RA) Data Ganj Bakhsh in Lahore on Friday, 24NewsHD TV reported. 

Khan laid a floral chadar at the shrine and offered Fateha, seeking blessings at the centuries-old mausoleum, which draws thousands of devotees daily from across the country and abroad.

As part of his visit, the former world champion also arranged ten deg (large cauldrons) of niyaz for distribution among devotees at the shrine.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, Khan expressed satisfaction over the ongoing renovation and expansion work at the shrine complex, saying the improvements were encouraging to see.

“The development work at the shrine of Data Ganj Bakhsh Ali Hajveri is very pleasing,” Khan said.

“The expansion of the shrine’s premises will provide greater convenience and comfort for the visiting devotees.”
