Bilawal Bhutto says only he can get Kashmiris their rights
Vows to get all PPP’s seats back before AJK Assembly’s maiden session
Claiming that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had a solution to the crisis afflicting the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), the party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Thursday that only he could ensure the inclusion of the people of AJK in the decision-making process, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a press conference in Muzaffarabad, he said that PPP always used peaceful means for the attainment of its rights.
He said that the government should dread that day when the PPP would say it did not accept the election results.
Bilawal demanded that the party’s grievances be addressed prior to phase-II of the elections.
Alleging that 30 polling stations in Mirpur were occupied, he asked where were the law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) when all this was happening.
He claimed that the turnout at these polling stations was 99 per cent.
He asked the election commission to improve security situation in Muzaffarabad prior to phase-II of the elections.
The PPP chairman said that if all stakeholders agreed, Truth and Reconciliation Commission be formed so that it could sift truth from falsehood.
“Nobody, but only Kashmiris can decide their own affairs,” he said, adding that those who did not trust people’s votes wanted to sneak into power.
Bilawal vowed to get all those seats back which the PPP had won in the Mirpur elections ahead of the AJK Legislative Assembly’s maiden session.
