Fire erupts at shopping mall in Swabi

A massive fire suddenly erupted at a shopping mall in Swabi on Tuesday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Soon after receiving information, firefighters belonging to Rescue 1122 and TMA rushed to the spot to douse the flames.

Six firefighting vehicles, four belonging to Rescue 1122 and two to TMA, were busy extinguishing the blaze till last reports came in.

However, the cause of the fire could not be ascertained till the filing of this report.

As per initial information, no loss of human life was reported in the incident.

Five days ago, it was reported in the media that an eight-member committee had been constituted to inquire into the fire incident at the H-9 Sunday Bazaar.

A massive fire had broken out in Block C of the bazaar on Tuesday night, engulfing a large number of stalls.

The fire spread rapidly, prompting a large-scale emergency response. Fortunately, no loss of life or injuries were reported.

However, the fire gutted hundreds of stalls and the merchandise stored inside them.
