Reports of Yasmin Rashid’s death baseless, jail authorities say

Jail authorities and family sources have rejected social media reports about the death of former provincial minister Dr Yasmin Rashid, saying she is alive and in good health.

Jail authorities said reports circulating on social media about Dr Yasmin Rashid’s death were baseless.

According to jail authorities, she is in good health in jail and undergoes routine medical check-ups when required.

Officials said Dr Yasmin Rashid visits the Punjab Institute of Cardiology, Hameed Latif Hospital and Shaukat Khanum Hospital for routine check-ups.

Family sources also dismissed the social media claims and said Dr Yasmin Rashid was safe and doing well.

They said she is currently in Kot Lakhpat Jail.

The family sources said there was no truth in the reports being circulated on social media.
