Another cut in oil prices likely from June 1

The government is likely to decrease the prices of petroleum products once again from June 1.
In this regard, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has sent a summary to the government. OGRA has recommended a Rs6.07 per litre cut in the prices of petrol and Rs9.37 per litre cut in the prices of light diesel.
According to the summary sent by OGRA to the Petroleum Ministry, a Rs11.88 per litre cut has been recommended in the prices of kerosene oil. On the contrary, OGRA has recommended a Rs5 per litre increase in the prices of high speed diesel.
The new prices will be applicable from June 1 after final approval from the government.
