An 18-year-old youth lost his life when a string of a stray kite slit his throat in Misri Shah area of Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Mobeen came to Misri Shah along with his cousin to buy a burger for himself but fell prey to the hanging kite string.

Police shifted the body to the morgue for post-mortem and launched a further investigation into the matter.

Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz and Punjab IG took notice of the incident and sought reports from the concerned officials.
