Khaqan Shahnawaz reacts strongly to Ali Raza’s qurbani photo

Pakistani actor Khaqan Shahnawaz shared his thoughts on sacrificial animals after Pakistani actor Ali Raza posted a photo of a slaughtered animal on Instagram.

Taking to Instagram stories, Khaqan Shahnawaz said that posting photos of slaughtered animals on social media reflects ignorance.

Khanqan wrote: “Zibah huay janwaroun koh post karna, jahil honay kee aik nishani hay. Qurbani k janwar kee izzat karein, woh Allah k liye qurban kiye jatay hain. Social media par posing k liye nahi.” (Posting slaughtered animals is a sign of ignorance. Respect the sacrificial animals; they are sacrificed for Allah. Not for posting on social media.”)

His message read that posting images of slaughtered animals reflects a lack of understanding of the true spirit of Qurbani.

According to him, the purpose of the sacrifice is rooted in faith, devotion and obedience rather than public display.

He encouraged people to honor the animals and remember the religious significance behind the act.

The statement came after actor Ali Raza shared a photo of a slaughtered animal on his Instagram account. Following the post, Ali Raza also turned off the comments section.

However, in response, Khaqan Shahnawaz posted an Instagram story, expressing his views on sharing such images on social media.

Fans in the comment box agreed with Khaqan’s thoughts.

Khaqan Shahnawaz is a rising Pakistani actor, model and digital creator who has built a strong following through social media and television projects like Hadsa, Sukoon and My Dear Cinderella.

On a personal note, he tied the knot with actress Sabeena Syed in February 2026.

On the other hand, Ali Raza is also one of Pakistan’s rising stars who has quickly gained recognition for his performances in television dramas like Bhool Jaa Ay Dil.

He rose to prominence with his role in Muhabbat Gumshuda Meri and later impressed audiences in popular dramas such as Noor Jahan, Duniyapur, and Iqtidar.

Khaqan's message serves as a reminder that the nature of Eid-ul-Adha extends beyond the ritual itself. The festival teaches sacrifice, humility, gratitude and compassion.
