Punjab schools allowed to hold summer camps

The Punjab Education Department has granted permission to all government and private schools in the province to hold summer camps during vacations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

All schools will hold summer camps from 7 am to 10 am from Monday to Thursday. Schools will observe Friday as a holiday.

Students are not bound to attend the summer camps, the notification said and added, students will not wear uniforms during the summer camps.

The Punjab Education Department advised all the schools to ensure the availability of cold water, fans, and other first-aid equipment at school premises; otherwise, stern action will be taken against those schools that fail to implement the official order.
