Punjab govt imposes smart lockdown in several areas

The Punjab government on Sunday imposed a smart lockdown in several parts of the province due to an increase in coronavirus cases.
A smart lockdown was imposed in 26 areas in Lahore and 15 areas in Rawalpindi. In Lahore, Wapda Town, Bahria Town, Ghauri Block, Umar Block, Shaheen Block, Safari Block, Gulbahar Block, Gul Meher Block, Babar Block, Overseas Block and Sectors C&D of Askari-10 and Askari-15 were the areas where a smart lockdown was imposed. Similarly, a smart lockdown was imposed in Lahore’s DHA Phase 3, Sector X, Y, Z, Sector A&G in Phase 5, Sector D in DHA Phase 6, Street No 7&8 in Cavalry Ground, Block C&D in Punjab Cooperative Housing Society, Tariq Block in Garden Town, Model Town and Fatehgarh.
Seven localities in Multan, five in Layyah, four in Sargodha and three in Gujranwala were locked under the government’s smart lockdown policy. Also, a smart lockdown was imposed in four localities in Faisalabad, three in Toba Tek Singh and two in Mianwali.
Primary and Secondary Healthcare Secretary Muhammad Usman confirmed that a smart lockdown had been imposed in 26 localities in Lahore.
