Fawad demands ECP to hold by-elections on EVM

November 30, 2021 09:13 PM

Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry Tuesday urged the Election Commission of Pakistani (ECP) to hold by-polls on the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) as per the law.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, he was giving a briefing to the media after the cabinet meeting and said the law only recognized the elections under the EVM.

He said if the elections would not hold on the EVM, the government would not be able to fund it, so the ECP must hold by-elections under the existing law of the EVM.
