Pakistan reports 10 more coronavirus deaths, 475 new cases

Pakistan reported 10 more coronavirus deaths and 475 new cases that emerged during the last 24 hours (Sunday), showed the data released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Monday morning.

According to the statistics released by NCOC, after the addition of 10 new deaths, the toll has now surged to 28,728, which represents a ratio of 2.2 percent.

The positivity ratio of the coronavirus cases in Pakistan reaches 1.1 percent, as 475 new coronavirus cases emerged in the last 24 hours after conducting 42,577 tests. It takes the total cases tally to 1,284,840.

The number of active cases in the country is 13,876 with 905 patients in critical condition.

There were 327 more recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours as the number of total recovered cases reached 1,242,236 with a 96.7% recovery rate.

Punjab

Punjab, the most populous province of the country, has reported 80 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking the provincial tally to 443,094 with 5,183 active cases. In Punjab, 4 more patients died of coronavirus as the death toll reached 13,023. With 56 new recoveries, 424,888 patients have recovered from the virus in Punjab so far.

Sindh

Sindh has recorded 331 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 475,616 with 7,638 active cases. No new death related to the deadly disease reported as the death toll in Sindh remained 7,621. With 139 new recoveries, 460,357 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 34 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 179,995 with 690 active cases. The province reported 4 new virus-related deaths as the death toll reached 5,842. With 91 new recoveries, 173,463 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Balochistan

Balochistan recorded no new cases for the second consecutive day as the tally remained 33,479 with 53 active cases. The province reported one new death as the death toll reached 360. With 3 new recoveries, 33,066 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Islamabad

Islamabad has recorded 28 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 107,689 with 272 active cases. With one new death reported in the Federal Capital, the death toll reached 954. With 29 new recoveries, the number of recovered patients is 106,463 in the federal capital so far.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir

Azad Jammu and Kashmir has recorded 2 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 34,556 with 34 active cases. With no new death reported, the death toll remains at 742. There were 3 new recoveries in the AJK as 33,780 patients have recovered so far from the virus.

Gilgit-Baltistan

Gilgit-Baltistan recorded no new cases during the last 24 hours, as the tally remained 10,411 with 6 active cases. With no new death reported in the province, the death toll remains at 186. There were also six new recoveries as the number of patients recovered from the deadly disease reached 10,219.
