PM Shehbaz to visit KP flood-hit areas today; Maryam to go to South Punjab

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit the flood-hit districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province including Swat and Lower Kohistan where he will be briefed on the damage caused by floods and the relief activities on Wednesday (today), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The prime minister will go to Kalam and Kanju in Swat district and to Pattan in Lower Kohistan district where he will meet the flood-hit people besides inspecting the relief work in those areas.
The Pakistan Television (PTV) News will broadcast the prime minister’s speech in Swat and Lower Kohistan.
Similarly, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz will visit Rajanpur and other flood-hit areas of southern Punjab.
During her visit, she will meet the people affected by floods in Jampur, Fazilpur, Hajipur and Dera Ghazi Khan.
The PML-N plans to use all available resources in collaboration with the federal government to provide relief to every citizen trapped in the flood.
All possible steps will be taken to protect the helpless people and their belongings and cattle trapped in the flood.
During her visit, Maryam Nawaz will also meet the flood-hit families, especially women, children and elderly persons. She will also distribute relief material and food items to the flood victims.
“Providing all possible assistance to the families affected by the floods is mine and the party’s top priority,” she said.
“The PML-N, like in the past, stands with every citizen of Pakistan in every natural calamity. It is always present to take care of them,” she vowed.
