Arifwala police booked four accused and arrested three of them for sexually assaulting a boy and blackmailing him into paying money under the threat of making a video of him being assaulted viral, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

According to police, the accused assaulted a boy sexually at gunpoint and shot a video of the act.

They then blackmailed the victim into paying hundreds of thousands of rupees under the threat of making the video viral.

The police registered a case against the accused under various provisions and arrested three suspects identified as Aqib, Awais Padhyar and Hassan Gadhi while their one accomplice managed to escape.

Awais Shah, son of a police inspector nominated in the case, was yet to be arrested by the police.

“Police are reluctant to arrest the son of the police inspector,” the family of the victim alleged.

They demanded justice from the Punjab chief minister, inspector general of police (IGP), Sahiwal regional police officer (RPO) and Pakpattan district police officer (DPO).
