Transitional education essential for development: Sardar Masood

Former Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Sardar Masood Khan on Sunday said that 25 million children are out of school, so there is a dire need to obtain investment in the educational sector to bring them up as per international standards, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.
Sardar Masood Khan expressed these views while addressing a high-level conference on international education in Lahore.
The Vice-Chancellors Conference 2025 was hosted by Punjab Higher Education Chairman Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan.
In the inaugural session Sardar Masood Khan shed light on reforms in the education sector and transitional education.
Prominent educational experts from Pakistan and other countries participated in the conference. Sardar Masood Khan said that the current population of Pakistan is 250 million, out of which 25 million children are still out of school, which is a “time bomb” for us.
Sardar Masood Khan said that transactional education became popular day by day, which enables a student to obtain education from abroad while staying in their own country.
He said that an amount of Rs 40 million was spent to obtain a degree from the United Kingdom, while the same degree can be obtained in Rs 4 million after a transactional educational accord.
Sardar Masood Khan said that Pakistan has already become a third freelance force, and Pakistani youth are generating income through artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, robotics, and Internet for Thinkers.
At the concluding session, the education experts from foreign countries said that Pakistan should take more measures to strengthen the transactional education sector.
