Govt raises petrol price by Rs2.31 per litre
The government on Thursday increased the prices of petrol prices by Rs 2.31 per litre, reported 24NewsHD TVchannel quoting Prime Minister House sources.
Sources said the government approved an increase in petrol price by Rs2.31 per litre while the price of light diesel oil (LDO) was increased by Rs1.80 per litre.
The TV channel reported the Oil and GasRegulatory Authority (Ogra) recommended an increase in the price of light diesel and petrol upto Rs 14.87 and Rs 10.68 respectively.
Earlier, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) recommended to the government raising prices of petroleum products from January 1. The Ogra forwarded the summary to the Petroleum Division.
