Shell to invest $100m in Pakistan
Shell Pakistan Limited announced an investment of more than $100 million in Pakistan and expand its petrol pumps during the next four years, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
A representative of Shell Company held a detailed meeting with Federal Minister for Investment Board Qaisar Ahmad Shakh during which it was decided to enhance investment and trade relations.
The representative of Shell Company said that currently 650 petrol pumps are operational in Pakistan, and measures are being taken to expand its investment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Earlier on December 30, 2025, the Board of Investment (BOI), in collaboration with China Media Group (CMG), organized a seminar titled “Driving Innovation, Sharing Prosperity – A New Vision for China–Pakistan Economic Partnership” at the Board of Investment, Islamabad.
Federal Minister for Board of Investment, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, attended the event as the Chief Guest.
The event was aimed at strengthening Pakistan–China economic cooperation with particular focus on innovation, investment, people-centred development, and future policy coordination between the two countries.
In his welcome remarks, Tasawar Zaman, Director of China Media Group, warmly welcomed all participants and expressed gratitude to the Board of Investment for its coordination in organizing the seminar.
He stated that seminars of this nature are essential for strengthening Pakistan–China relations and developing new avenues of cooperation.
