Bilawal unveils Benazir Bhutto’s statue in Madame Tussauds Dubai
Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Sunday unveiled the wax figure of his Mother Shaheed Benazir Bhutto in Madame Tussauds museum Dubai, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Bilawal said that Dubai has a special place in the heart of his family as his mother Benazir Bhutto spent around 10 years in Dubai when they were banished from Pakistan.
It is indeed an honour and a privilege that Benazir Bhutto’s stature is being unveiled here at Madame Tussauds in Dubai, said Pakistan FM. He said that he first saw his mother’s statue in the Madame Tussauds in London.
Bilawal, during the ceremony, said that “Dubai is very special to me as I received my primary and secondary education here in the UAE so we have a close attachment to this city and to this country. We are immensely grateful that the memory of our mother is brought here in the form of this wax statue. She was a symbol of democracy, freedom and for equal rights for women across the world. She strived for the peaceful, prosperous and progressive face of Pakistan.”
